We’re very excited to share with you our ‘Happy Sleep’ initiative. Because let’s face it, you can never get tired of sleep 😉 (see what we did there). Happy Sleep is dedicated to help you fall asleep, with different tools such as soundscapes (don’t we all love the sound of beach waves) and bedtime stories that you can listen to before you go to sleep. 

 

Sounds may not sound like the recipe for sleep, but they actually work. The sound of waves crashing or whistling birds are actually relaxing for your brain. They are constant and that means that your brain perceives them as non-threatening. Another bonus is that they can block out annoying sounds that would have otherwise woken you up. (Turns out listening to sheep would actually be better than counting them, huh? Mee-eehh.. Imagine falling asleep to the sound of sheeps. You might one day wake up and understand their language o.O)

 

Bedtime stories also do the trick! If you’re a person who starts overthinking and worrying when you’re trying to sleep, a bedtime story might help you. The reason is very simple. It keeps your mind occupied with an interesting plot, instead of it worrying. This lowers your heart rate and blood pressure. (Assuming your bedtime story isn’t one of those nasty horror ones). Before you’ll know it you will fall asleep and you will have to listen to the chapter again the next day, until, well, you fall asleep. You might never finish a bedtime story actually.
